TechInsights: Global TWS Earphone Shipments Increase by 15% YoY in Q2, Apple Continues to Dominate the TWS Market
TechInsights' series of reports on emerging device technologies (EDT) recently pointed out that in Q2 2023, global TWS earphone shipments increased by 15% compared to the previous year (Q1'23: YoY 2%), while revenue increased by 5.1% compared to the previous year (Q1'23: YoY -1.6%).
According to a series of reports recently released by TechInsights Emerging Device Technologies (EDT) service, global TWS earphone shipments are expected to increase by 15% YoY in Q2 2023 (YoY 2% in Q1'23), with revenue growth of 5.1% YoY (YoY -1.6% in Q1'23). Apple (AAPL.US) continues to dominate the TWS market with a 17% market share in terms of shipments and a 43% market share in terms of revenue. However, competition from Indian and Chinese manufacturers has caused Apple's market share to decline.
In terms of revenue, high-end TWS earphones (priced at $101 and above) account for 57% of total revenue. In terms of shipments, entry-level TWS earphones (priced below $30) account for 49% of total shipments. Bose still has the highest average selling price (ASP).
