Tencent's major shareholder, Prosus, and its parent company, Naspers, announced the resignation of CEO Bob van Dijk, but he will continue to serve as an advisor to the boards of Prosus and Naspers until the end of September next year. Investment Director Ervin Tu will assume the role of interim CEO. In June last year, Naspers announced an unlimited reduction in its holdings of Tencent to support its own buyback plan. In July this year, Prosus stated that it will continue to reduce its holdings of Tencent, and it is expected that the shareholding ratio will decrease to 24% to 25% by the end of this year.
