$Ulta Beauty(ULTA.US) +7% AH after beating on 4Q results but guiding to lower than expected FY’25 SSS Comps, Revs, and Adj EPS. New CEO Kecia Steelman, who took over as CEO in January called “2025 a pivotal year as we make purposeful investments to fuel our future growth and move quickly to optimize our business.” She cautioned: "While it will take time to see the impact of these efforts, we are confident these investments will help reignite our momentum and unlock sustained growth and long-term value for our shareholders."

The mgmt team gave the following FY’26 guidance, which runs through next January:

- Revs of $11.5-$11.6B vs $11.67B est

- Same store sales 0% to +1% vs +1.2% est

- Adj EPS of $22.50-$22.90 vs $23.51 est

- Operating margin 11.7%-11.8% vs 11.9% est

4Q results beat expectations: Adj EPS $8.46 vs $7.13 exp; Revs $3.49B vs ! 3.47B est; SSS 1.5% vs +0.8% est.

In our experience, weak forward guidance generally trumps strong quarterly results but maybe with a new mgmt team, investors are giving them leeway to be conservative.
