Nvidia unveiled a Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) networking switches, called Spectrum-X and Quantum-X silicon photonics, that pave the way for a new type of massive “million GPU” AI data center by “drastically reducing energy consumption and operational costs” while speeding up the flow of data, it said.
