Over two years ago, skepticism still surrounded this view in the industry. After the 洗礼 of the large model wave, it has now become a consensus across thousands of sectors.

As intelligence sweeps across all industries, beyond the spotlight on star enterprises, attention should also be focused on the digital "vanguard" steadily advancing in 垂直 fields. 01 A Difficult Yet Right Path
Rewind to 1999. After over a decade working in financial services and technical consulting on Wall Street, Wang Anjing returned to China and founded Sursen Software.

Having deeply participated in every node of 银行数字化转型 and established 紧密合作关系 with over 500 financial institutions, Sursen Software 一步步 rose to become a 头部服务商 in domestic 金融数字化咨询及解决方案, an indelible chapter in fintech history.
But in the mind of Sursen Software's chairman, Wang Anjing,银行互联网化 was just the 起点, merely 踏上数字化的路. Many challenges lay ahead.
"Short-term, superficial digitization or 浮夸性 digitization could be disastrous for national critical information infrastructure. 'Localization' based on foreign foundational software can only be a 过渡. Core intellectual property rights for foundational software databases must be in our own hands. It's like building a skyscraper—if the 地基 structure is unclear, the higher the building, the greater the risk, ultimately posing an unbearable national security threat."
Thus, around 2015, Sursen Software began 研发 database products, targeting the "root technology" of digitization. It committed to independent R&D, with fully 自主可控 frameworks, kernels, and engines, free from any Western open-source database code. To address banks' database needs, Sursen Software partnered with multiple banks to establish 国产数据库联合实验室,沉淀 project experience into product development.
By then, many domestic database companies had emerged, but most relied on open-source kernels and engines, focusing only on 外围 tools,容灾 modules, and 运维管理. As a veteran with nearly 50 years in fintech, Wang Anjing 深知 open-source was a shortcut but couldn't 彻底解决 national and corporate security. Only with 自主知识产权 could there be 话语权 and security, truly qualifying as an 授权方。
The "cost" was evident: developing 应用软件 for banks often took months to a year or two, but foundational software like databases required 七八年,占用 massive R&D resources without immediate revenue. 02 Toward Higher Peaks
Time proved Wang Anjing's foresight. As 金融智能化 intensified, data security issues became increasingly frequent.

In August 2023, the Development Research Center of the State Council released a report titled "Accelerating the Autonomous Control of China's Databases," highlighting two key points:
1. Among over 300 database companies,上百家 use PostgreSQL 开源技术,近 200 家 use MySQL 开源技术. Sursen Software's SUNDB achieves 高度自治 in legal 权限, with a 工信部 code scan 自主率 of 98.31%.

As widely known, data quality deeply impacts 大模型 training.
