Historically in the U.S. stock market, no matter who gets elected, as long as there's a clean and clear result, the remaining days of Q4 including the holiday season are generally bullish. This is the so-called Post-Election Rally. The logic is simple: uncertainty significantly decreases, and people tend to have rosy expectations for the new leader's policies. The worst scenario for the market is when the outcome remains unresolved for too long, like in the 2000 election where the result wasn't finalized until December. In such cases, market volatility spikes due to prolonged uncertainty. Let's pray this doesn't happen again...
