$Microsoft(MSFT.US)Microsoft's major shareholders opposed the company's Bitcoin investment proposal on Tuesday, believing it does not align with shareholders' long-term interests. Earlier, Microsoft's board had urged shareholders to reject a proposal from the National Center for Public Policy Research, which suggested the company invest 1% of its total assets in Bitcoin as a hedge against inflation.
Separately, Microsoft's Cloud services division introduced its next-generation "zero water evaporation data center design" in a press release issued on Monday local time. Each data center adopting this design can save 125 million liters of water annually.
