Traded Value資本市場也已經開始炒作「猴痘概念股」，專注於天花病毒疫苗和治療方法的美國製藥公司如$Siga Tech(SIGA.US)和$Emergent Biosolutions(EBS.US)的股價上週大幅上漲。
猴痘和天花是近親，兩者基因組結構非常相似，在生物學特性和致病性上也有很多雷同之處。
目前沒有專門的猴痘疫苗，不過世衞組織數據顯示，天花疫苗對猴痘病毒的有效性高達 85%。
美國 CDC 推薦天花疫苗用於猴痘的暴露後預防，同時結合現有藥物進行治療。
根據國泰君安研報統計，目前美國有 2 款天花疫苗，其中 1 款適應症包含猴痘；2 款疫苗均採用減毒活疫苗路線，生產公司分別係$Emergent Biosolutions(EBS.US)$Bavarian Nordic A/S Sponsored ADR(BVNRY.US)
