Meng Huating, Director of the Free Trade Zone and Port Department of the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out at a press conference that they will strengthen classified guidance for pilot free trade zones, expand the authorization of reform tasks for free trade zones in Guangdong, Tianjin, Fujian, and others, and assign them new pilot reform tasks; support qualified pilot free trade zones in carrying out integrated innovation across entire industrial chains focusing on key industries such as biopharmaceuticals, equipment manufacturing, and marine economy; strengthen policy empowerment for free trade zones in central and western regions and border areas, and support them in better playing a demonstrative and leading role in serving major national strategies.
