The company's flagship product, Snapchat (which means "disappearing message"), is an app within the camera designed to help people communicate through short videos and images. These short videos or images are called "Snaps," and the users of the app call themselves "Snapchatters." On average, 158 million people use Snapchat every day, and over 25 billion photos are created. The app's primary feature is that all photos have a lifespan of between 1 and 10 seconds, after which they are automatically deleted according to the user's pre-set time. Moreover, users receive a notification if the recipient attempts to take a screenshot during this period. Most products have a blinking cursor as the starting point on a desktop computer, but the company believes that on most smartphones, the camera screen will become the starting point for most products. This is because images produced by smartphone cameras contain more content and richer information than other forms of text input on a keyboard.
