The trading volume of options for biotechnology company Abbvie has skyrocketed to nearly 900,000 contracts, with bullish options accounting for 98.7%! The call options with a January 19th expiration date and strike prices of $155 and $140 have both traded over 130,000 contracts, while the call options with strike prices of $150 and $160 have both traded over 120,000 contracts.
Overnight, most of the leading technology stocks in the US fell, while digital currency concept stocks declined and Chinese concept stocks rebounded.

The top ten US stock options trading on the day were: Tesla, NVIDIA, Marathon Digital, Abbvie, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, AMD, Citigroup, Coinbase.

Tesla fell nearly 3%, with options trading surging to 2.31 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 58.5%. Nearly 160,000 call options with a strike price of $230 and nearly 140,000 put options with a strike price of $225 were traded, both expiring on January 12.
NVIDIA rose nearly 1%, with options trading increasing to 1.76 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 56.1%. Nearly 120,000 call options with a strike price of $550 were traded.
Marathon Digital fell nearly 13%, with options trading more than doubling to 1.09 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 62.7%.
Abbvie fell nearly 1%, with options trading skyrocketing to nearly 900,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 98.7%! More than 130,000 call options with a strike price of $155 and $140, and more than 120,000 call options with a strike price of $150 and $160 were traded, all expiring on January 19.
Apple slightly declined, with options trading increasing to 850,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 65.1%. More than 100,000 call options with a strike price of $185 were traded.
Microsoft and Amazon both had options trading exceeding 700,000 contracts, with a focus on call options.
AMD slightly declined, with options trading reaching nearly 600,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 64.1%.
Citigroup and Coinbase both had options trading exceeding 400,000 contracts, also with a focus on call options.
Alibaba rose more than 1%, with options trading falling to less than 300,000 contracts, with a 50-50 ratio between call options and put options.
