US Stock Options | AMD and NVIDIA trading volume skyrocketed! Tesla's seven contracts exploded
The top seven most active overnight trading contracts are all related to Tesla: The contracts expiring on February 2nd with strike prices of $200 and $195 saw trading volumes of over 170,000 and 150,000 respectively, while the contract with a strike price of $190 saw trading volume of 100,000!
Overnight, leading technology stocks fell across the board, and Chinese concept stocks suffered the same fate.

Tesla rose slightly, and options trading continued to decline to 2.04 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 56.5%. Call options with expiration dates on February 2nd and strike prices of $200 and $195 traded over 170,000 contracts and 150,000 contracts respectively, while put options with a strike price of $190 traded 100,000 contracts.
AMD fell more than 3%, and options trading surged to 1.07 million contracts, with a call option ratio of 58%. Call options with a strike price of $200 traded nearly 40,000 contracts.
Nvidia rose slightly, and options trading increased to 940,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 61.5%. Call options with a strike price of $630 traded nearly 50,000 contracts.
Apple fell nearly 2%, and options trading increased to 680,000 contracts, with a call option ratio of 52.7%.
Microsoft, Sofi Tech, and Amazon all had options trading volume exceeding 500,000 contracts, with call options dominating.
Citigroup and Google Class A both had options trading volume exceeding 400,000 contracts, also dominated by call options.
Put options with an expiration date of January 17, 2025, and a strike price of $10 for Medical Properties Trust (MPW) traded nearly 70,000 contracts.
Options contracts related to NU with an expiration date of January 16, 2016, were also very active.
