The top ten US stock options trading before last Friday were: Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, AMD, Palantir Tech, Amazon, Meta, Marathon Digital, Super Micro Computer, and Microsoft.
Among them:
Tesla fell over 3%, with options trading halving to 1.825 million contracts, and call options accounting for 63%. Nearly 170,000 call options with a strike price of $200 and expiring on February 23 were traded. Call options with a strike price of $195 also traded for over 100,000 contracts.
Nvidia dropped over 4%, with options trading falling to 1.22 million contracts, and call options accounting for 60%.
Apple slightly declined, with options trading dropping to 775,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 68.6%. Call options with strike prices of $182.5 and $185 each traded for nearly 50,000 contracts.
AMD fell nearly 5%, with options trading dropping to 620,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 63%.
Palantir Tech dropped over 4%, with options trading remaining around 530,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 65.8%.
Both Amazon and Meta had options trading exceeding 400,000 contracts, with call options dominating.
Nio fell nearly 1%, with options trading surging to 330,000 contracts, and put options accounting for 67.8%. Put options with a strike price of $9.5 traded for over 100,000 contracts, ranking as the third largest contract in overnight trading volume.
Alibaba dropped over 1%, with options trading at 155,000 contracts, and call options accounting for 77.6%.
