According to the announcement released by Wan Kei Development (00737) on the Zhitong Finance APP, after going through the public bidding and tendering process at the Guangzhou Public Resources Trading Center, on March 25, 2024, Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Zhuhai Company (regarded as a subsidiary of the company) entered into a construction supervision contract (JL2 section) with Guangdong Hualu. As per the contract, Guangdong Hualu will undertake the construction supervision work for certain agreed road expansion projects with a total contract value of RMB 51.736 million.
The approved road sections refer to the Guangzhou-Huocun to Dongguan-Chang'an section of the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway and the Guangzhou-Huangcun to Huocun section of the Guangfo Expressway.
Investment, construction, operation, and maintenance of expressways are among the group's main businesses. Implementing the expansion projects of the approved road sections will help enhance the traffic capacity and service level of these sections, strengthen the group's core competitiveness in the toll road industry, and align with the group's development strategy.
