Trillion-Dollar Bank, CEO's Decision Made!

On the evening of June 6th, Agricultural Bank of China announced the appointment of Wang Zhiheng as the President of the bank. Wang Zhiheng's appointment will take effect from the date approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission (referred to as "CBIRC").

In addition, the board of directors also reviewed and approved several other proposals, nominating Wang Zhiheng as a candidate for executive director of Agricultural Bank of China, electing Wang Zhiheng as the Vice Chairman of Agricultural Bank of China, appointing Mr. Wang Zhiheng as a member and chairman of the Committee for Agricultural and Inclusive Financial Development, a member of the Strategic Planning and Sustainable Development Committee, and nominating him as a member of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.

The positions of Vice Chairman and special committee members of the board of directors will take effect after being approved by the shareholders' meeting to serve as an executive director of the bank and after CBIRC approves his qualifications.

Public information shows that Wang Zhiheng was born in June 1973 and holds a Master's degree in Economics from Nankai University.

He has previously served as the Deputy General Manager of the Human Resources Department of Bank of China, Vice President of the Guangdong Branch, President of the Qinghai Branch, General Manager of the Human Resources Department of the Head Office, and President of the Beijing Branch. In August 2021, he became the Vice President of Bank of China, in February 2023, he became an Executive Director of China Everbright Group Corporation, and in March 2023, he became an Executive Director of China Everbright Group Corporation, concurrently serving as the Executive Director and President of China Everbright Bank
