CICC's Peng Wensheng: In the next ten years, AI could bring an additional annual growth of 0.8 percentage points to China

Chief Economist Peng Wensheng of CITIC Securities stated today at the "2024 World Artificial Intelligence Conference" that in the next ten years, AI could bring an additional annual growth of 0.8 percentage points to China. He mentioned that according to CITIC Securities' forecast, by 2035, AI is expected to boost China's GDP by 9.8% compared to the baseline scenario, equivalent to an additional 0.8 percentage points of annualized growth over the next decade.
