InterContinental Hotels Group CEO: U.S. hotel demand unaffected by economic concerns

InterContinental Hotels Group CEO Elie Maalouf said that there are no signs of potential economic downturn in the US hotel demand. Maalouf stated that the strong start to the summer has continued into July and August. "As long as GDP continues to grow, as long as the middle class continues to grow, travel is something people prefer to do and will continue to want to do," Maalouf said. "So we are very optimistic about the continued growth in long-term demand in the future."
