Alibaba's Taobao Special Edition App integrates WeChat Pay
Recently, Taobao's special edition app, Taote, under Alibaba, has added WeChat Pay as a payment option. Users can now simply click on "WeChat Pay" to be redirected to the WeChat platform to complete the payment. Regarding the support for WeChat Pay, the official customer service of Taote app stated, "The WeChat Pay feature is gradually being opened up, whether an order supports WeChat Pay should be based on the display on the order page when the user places the order." In fact, currently, several apps under Alibaba have already implemented support for WeChat Pay, such as Ele.me, Youku, Damai, Kaola, Shuqi, and others. There are also reports indicating that apps like Xianyu and Hema are also applying to integrate WeChat Pay. As the most important e-commerce app under Alibaba, the official customer service of Taobao app also mentioned that "WeChat Pay is still in the trial phase and has not been fully opened up yet"
According to the Zhitong Finance and Economics APP, recently, Taobao's special edition App Taote under Alibaba (09988) has added WeChat Pay as a payment option. Users can now click on "WeChat Pay" during checkout to be redirected to the WeChat platform to complete the payment.
