China Merchants Bank recently announced that Shi Dai was selected as the Vice Chairman of the 12th Board of Directors and will serve from the date approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission. Shi Dai currently serves as a director and general manager of China Merchants Group, and has held various important positions. At the same time, Deng Renjie has been nominated as a candidate for non-executive director of China Merchants Bank. His appointment is subject to approval by the shareholders' meeting and review by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission
The personnel of the joint-stock banks are once again in the spotlight.
On the evening of August 27th, China Merchants Bank announced the resolutions of the 38th meeting of the 12th Board of Directors, which approved proposals such as "Election of the Vice Chairman of the 12th Board of Directors" and "Nomination of Non-Executive Directors of the 12th Board of Directors".
The announcement stated that the Board of Directors of China Merchants Bank agreed to appoint Shi Dai as the Vice Chairman of the 12th Board of Directors of China Merchants Bank, with a term from the date when the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission approved her qualification as Vice Chairman until the expiration of the 12th Board of Directors.
In March, China Merchants Bank had previously announced the nomination of Shi Dai as a non-executive director. In August, China Merchants Bank announced that Shi Dai's qualification as a director of China Merchants Bank had been approved.
Information shows that Shi Dai, born in September 1967, holds a Master's degree in Business Administration from the China Europe International Business School and is a senior economist. She currently serves as a director and general manager of China Merchants Group Co., Ltd. She has previously served as Deputy General Manager of China National Chemical Corporation, Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, Vice Chairman (concurrently) of the All-China Women's Federation, Member of the Standing Committee and Minister of the Organization Department of the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region Party Committee, and President of the Party School (Administrative College) of the Autonomous Region (Ningxia Administrative Institute).
China Merchants Bank also announced the nomination of Deng Renjie as a candidate for non-executive director of the 12th Board of Directors of China Merchants Bank, to be submitted for approval at the shareholders' meeting.
If approved at the shareholders' meeting, Deng Renjie's qualification as a non-executive director will need to be reviewed by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, with a term from the date of approval of his directorship qualification until the expiration of the 12th Board of Directors.
Deng Renjie, born in February 1970, holds a Master's degree in International Law from Dalian Maritime University. He currently serves as Deputy General Manager of China Merchants Group Co., Ltd. He also serves as Chairman of China Merchants Innovation Technology (Group) Co., Ltd., Chairman of China Merchants Testing Technology Holdings Co., Ltd., Director of China Merchants Financial Holdings Co., Ltd., Vice President of the China Communications and Transportation Association, Executive Director and Vice Chairman of the 9th Council of the China Highway Society, Vice Chairman of the China Institute of Navigation, among other positions. He has previously served as Deputy Director of the Office of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hunan Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Party Committee, Assistant General Manager of China Merchants Group Co., Ltd. and Director of the Office, and concurrently served as Chairman of China Merchants Highway Network Technology Holdings Co., Ltd. (a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange), Chairman of China Merchants Port Group Co., Ltd. (a company listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange), Chairman of China Merchants Port Holdings Co., Ltd. (a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange), Chairman of Liaoning Port Group Co., Ltd., and Chairman of China Merchants Industrial Group Co., Ltd., among other positions
