In August, the US PPI increased by 1.7% year-on-year, in line with expectations, with a previous value of 2.2%; the US core PPI in August increased by 2.4% year-on-year, consistent with expectations and the previous value; however, the US PPI increased by 0.2% month-on-month in August, while the US core PPI increased by 0.3% month-on-month, both growth rates higher than expected, due to rising service costs. However, after the release of these data, there was little change in stock index futures and US Treasury yields, as investors continue to bet that the Federal Reserve will cut interest rates by 25 basis points at next week's meeting
