Snap (SNAP.US) has expanded its strategic partnership with Google Cloud to power its social media platform Snapchat's AI chatbot.
Snapchat's My AI chatbot will leverage Google's Gemini technology on Vertex AI, especially its capabilities in understanding and processing different types of information such as text, audio, images, videos, and code.
Thomas Kurian, CEO of Google Cloud, stated: "Snap has been an early leader in helping people communicate in the digital world, and now it is at the forefront of using generative AI to build agents, creating new value for its community." The Gemini model on Vertex AI now supports millions of multimodal interactions daily in the Snapchat app, enabling Snapchatters to better interact with My AI with built-in accuracy and security.
