Apple’s permit for self-driving vehicles reportedly cancelled
Apple's permit for testing self-driving vehicles in California has been canceled by the DMV following the company's request. Originally issued in 2017, the permit allowed testing until April 30, 2025. The cancellation, effective September 27, marks another setback for Apple's self-driving car project, Titan, which has faced delays and reduced autonomy levels for its anticipated Apple Car.

- Apple (AAPL) has contacted the DMV requesting a cancellation of its Autonomous Vehicles Program Manufacturer's Testing Permit. The department responded with a letter on Sept. 25 saying that the cancellation would take effect by Sept. 27.
