Due to a collision accident, the United States is investigating the FSD software of Tesla in over 2.4 million vehicles

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Office of Defects Investigation launched an investigation into Tesla's Full Self-Driving (FSD) feature on October 17th local time. The announcement stated that the office received reports indicating that Tesla vehicles with the FSD feature engaged were involved in collisions in areas of reduced visibility, resulting in injuries and fatalities. Therefore, the Office of Defects Investigation will assess the engineering controls and capabilities of FSD to appropriately respond to situations of reduced road visibility. The investigation covers approximately 2,410,002 vehicles, including Model X and Model S from 2016 to 2024, Model 3 from 2017 to 2024, and Model Y from 2020 to 2024
