Seeing Xiaomi 15 sitting there so calmly, I want to kick the chair over with one foot

The release of Xiaomi 15 has attracted attention from netizens, but Xiaomi has not yet revealed any information. In contrast to the preheating of other Android flagships such as OPPO Find X8 and OnePlus 13, Xiaomi appears particularly silent. Nevertheless, Xiaomi 15 is considered a popular model featuring the debut of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip, which will adopt a new naming and architecture, and is expected to be launched in the last week of October
As October comes to an end, flagship Android phones have started to stir up recently:
OPPO Find X8 officially unveiled, OnePlus 13 exposed, realme GT7 Pro pre-orders open, Honor Magic7 launch event scheduled, iQOO 13 officially announced...
Even Qualcomm joined in on October 18th with a preheating event for the Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition on the Bund in Shanghai.
After all, IT Home has reported that the new generation of Android flagships will hit the market in the last week of October.
Compared to the momentum of the above-mentioned manufacturers in promoting their new phones, Xiaomi seems out of place.
Until today (October 20th), Xiaomi has not released any information about the Xiaomi 15, remaining silent and even being pushed by netizens to trend multiple times.
However, in response to the netizens' urging, Lu Weibing said, "Everyone, don't rush," while Wang Teng released a meme made by netizens urging for information.
On one side, the release date is approaching, on the other side, there is no news at all, no wonder many netizens are anxious.
Since Xiaomi is so calm, the editor might as well kick over the chair and thoroughly dig into the Xiaomi 15.

Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition?
Although there is no clear statement yet, the Xiaomi 15 is still the hottest contender for the debut of the new flagship Snapdragon chip.
Speaking of this year's new Snapdragon flagship chip, it can be said to be completely renewed from the inside out.
The external change lies in the naming, no longer following the iterative naming convention of "Snapdragon 8 Gen 4," it is expected to be renamed "Snapdragon 8 Elite," with the Chinese name "Snapdragon 8 Supreme Edition."
If the new chip is indeed named "Elite," it would mean Qualcomm's third adjustment to the naming convention. Thinking back to the previous two adjustments, the impressions are probably quite deep: Snapdragon 888, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1...
The internal change lies in the architecture. After several years, Qualcomm has reintroduced self-developed cores into the CPU part of the Snapdragon chip.
Built on TSMC's 3nm process, the Snapdragon 8 Elite adopts a "2+6" design, with 2 cores of 4.32GHz Phoenix L+ and 6 cores of 3.53GHz Phoenix M.
A Weibo blogger previously shared the GeekBench 6 scores of OnePlus 13, with this chip, achieving a single-core score of 3236 and a multi-core score of 10049.
@Onleaks also collaborated with Smartprix to release a blog post, showing that the AnTuTu score of realme GT7 Pro reached 3025991, aiming for the top of Qualcomm.
From the current leaked benchmark scores, the performance of Snapdragon 8 Elite looks quite impressive.
Oneplus employee @Joseph Tsai even boasted that after running all the power efficiency data, the custom version is indeed better than the public version, directly surpassing the A18 Pro.
As long as the power consumption is stable, then Android flagships led by Xiaomi 15 will have a competitive performance.

Continuation of the Direct Curve Strategy
Following the rhythm of the previous generations, the Xiaomi 15 series once again releases the standard version and the Pro version first, followed by the Ultra version.
Both the standard version and the Pro version maintain the design of one small and one large, one straight and one curved, with minimal changes in appearance.
Specifically, on the front side, the Xiaomi 15 standard version will be equipped with a 1.5K LTPO straight screen, while the Pro version will feature a 2K slightly curved screen, with the size increasing from the previous 6.73 inches to 6.78 inches.
There will be no significant changes to the back side, with the rear camera modules of the two models still in a square matrix located in the upper left corner, using a volcano-shaped transition design and an external flash.
There was a leaked rendering of the Xiaomi 15 online, but it was denied by Wang Teng.
Smartprix also shared a set of high-definition renderings of the Xiaomi 15 Pro, showing a streamlined glass sandwich structure and a flat metal frame.
It will not only be available in classic colors such as black, white, and silver, but also in a special titanium version.
From the renderings, the most noticeable adjustment compared to the previous generation is the change in the position of the flash.

Pro Welcomes the Return of the Periscope Lens
After cooperating with Leica, Xiaomi's flagship phones in recent generations have impressive imaging effects, coupled with adequate hardware specifications, showcasing strong imaging capabilities.
If one must point out a regret, it would be that starting from the Xiaomi 12 series, the periscope telephoto lens became exclusive to the Ultra model.
Fortunately, in the Xiaomi 15, we will not only see the periscope lens in the Ultra model, as it is also included in the Pro model.
According to leaks from multiple bloggers including @Experience More, the telephoto lens of the Xiaomi 15 Pro has been upgraded to 120mm Sony IMX858, capable of achieving 5x periscope zoom.
The Pro model still maintains a matrix of 50 million pixels for the three cameras, consisting of a 50MP ultra-large main camera with a large aperture, a 50MP IMX8585X periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, with aperture sizes ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.5
Looking at the standard version, limited by size, it still uses the 3.X upright telephoto macro lens, but will be equipped with a 50MP main camera that supports a large aperture.
Although it didn't get the periscope lens, the focal length of 3.X meets the usage habits of many users.

Battery Life / Unlocking Experience
According to early leaks, the Xiaomi 15 Pro will have a built-in 5400mAh silicon negative electrode battery, supporting 100W wired/wireless fast charging.
A Weibo blogger previously revealed that the reason for using a 5400mAh battery is to ensure thinness.

However, there was a sudden change later on, with news spreading about a new 6000mAh± battery solution for the Xiaomi 15 Pro.
And now, it can be basically confirmed that the Pro model will have a 6000mAh battery + 90W wired charging + 80W wireless charging + 10W reverse wireless charging.
As for the standard version, the information available confirms support for 90W wired charging and wireless charging, but the specific battery capacity is still unknown.
In terms of unlocking, both the Xiaomi 15 standard version and Pro version support single-point ultrasonic fingerprint unlocking.
While it may not have the full-screen ultrasonic fingerprint technology, the single-point ultrasonic unlocking is better than optical and short-focus methods.

All Set, Just Waiting for the Release
Full series with large main cameras + full series with telephoto macro lenses + full series with ultrasonic technology + full series with glass bodies + relatively large silicon batteries for all models + wireless charging for all models + high-spec dust and water resistance for all models...
A Weibo blogger has already revealed that the configuration of the Xiaomi 15 series will be very powerful.
Considering that Qualcomm will officially launch a new generation of Snapdragon chips on October 22nd, the official announcement of the Xiaomi 15 series should be just around the corner.
The Xiaomi 14 series achieved strong sales performance last year, so it is highly anticipated whether the Xiaomi 15 series can recreate the glory of its predecessor At last year's launch event, Lei Jun once stated that the Xiaomi 14 is the last flagship starting at 3999 yuan, so it is very likely that the Xiaomi 15 will increase in price.
Just a few days ago, Wang Teng wrote about the factors leading to the price increase of flagship phones this year, mainly due to the significant increase in the cost of the 3nm process technology and the memory prices reaching a peak.
For reference, the pricing of the vivo X200 series has indeed been adjusted compared to its predecessor.
The pricing of the Xiaomi 15 will depend on the decisions made by executives such as Lei Jun and Lu Weibing.
Hope that CEO Lei and President Lu can persuade the executives overnight!
