Apple is reportedly considering producing its own brand of television
According to reports, Apple is evaluating the possibility of "manufacturing its own brand of television." The tech giant considered producing televisions several years ago, and speculation peaked after Walter Isaacson published the biography of Apple's former CEO Steve Jobs in 2011. Jobs told Isaacson, "I want to create an integrated television that is easy to use. It will seamlessly sync with all your devices and iCloud. Users will no longer have to fiddle with complicated DVD players and cable TV remote controls. It will have the simplest user interface you can imagine. I finally cracked it." Apple currently offers the Apple TV 4K set-top box, providing users with the ability to stream applications
