On November 18, the China Air Transport Association revealed that it will launch eVTOL pilot projects in six cities, with preliminary cities including Hefei, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing. Meanwhile, the "land aircraft carrier" showcased by XPeng Huitian at the Zhuhai Airshow has attracted attention, with a flying car factory expected to be completed in August next year, aiming for an annual production of 10,000 units, with plans for mass production and delivery in 2026
According to Zhitong Finance APP, XPeng-W (09868) rose over 3%, and as of the time of writing, it increased by 2.49%, priced at HKD 51.5, with a transaction volume of HKD 433 million.
In terms of news, on November 18, Sun Weiguo, Director of the General Aviation Business Department and the Drone Working Committee of the China Air Transport Association, revealed at the 2024 International Electric Aviation (Kunshan) Forum that the Central Air Traffic Control Committee will soon launch eVTOL pilot programs in six cities. Several industry insiders indicated that the six pilot cities are tentatively identified as Hefei, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Suzhou, Chengdu, and Chongqing. The pilot documents include relevant plans for flight routes and areas, authorizing some local governments for airspace below 600 meters, which means that these local governments will have to assume more management responsibilities.
It is noteworthy that recently, at the 15th China Airshow, the "land aircraft carrier" showcased by XPeng Huitian attracted significant media attention. A relevant person in charge stated that the current price of the "land aircraft carrier" will not exceed 2 million yuan, and as demand continues to grow, costs will be further reduced. It is reported that the smart manufacturing base for this flying car is currently under construction, which will be the world's first flying car factory utilizing modern assembly lines for large-scale production, intended for producing the aircraft portion of the modular flying car "land aircraft carrier," with an annual production capacity planned at 10,000 units, set to be completed by August next year, and the flying car is expected to be mass-produced and delivered in 2026
