According to Zhitong Finance APP, Apple concept stocks continue to rise. As of the time of writing, BYD Electronic (00285) is up 9.7%, trading at HKD 37.9; COWELL (01415) is up 6.36%, trading at HKD 26.75; Q TECH (01478) is up 5.87%, trading at HKD 6.31; AAC TECH (02018) is up 4.86%, trading at HKD 36.75; and Sunny Optical Technology (02382) is up 3.18%, trading at HKD 64.95.
On the news front, recent reports from market media indicate that Apple has ordered M5 chips from Taiwan Semiconductor. It is reported that the M5 series chips are expected to adopt an enhanced ARM architecture, and for cost considerations, Apple will use Taiwan Semiconductor's 3nm process technology to produce the M5 series chips. Although it still uses 3nm process technology, the performance of M5 shows significant improvement compared to M4, as the M5 series chips will utilize Taiwan Semiconductor's System on Integrated Chips (SoIC) technology. SoIC technology allows chips to be stacked into a three-dimensional structure, achieving better thermal management and reducing leakage. The first batch of devices equipped with M5 may be launched by the end of next year or early 2026.
In addition, reports also indicate that Apple plans to deploy M5 chips in its AI server infrastructure to enhance AI capabilities across consumer devices and cloud services. Guojin Securities' research report points out that Apple's iPhone SE 4 is expected to be released in March next year, and core beneficiary companies in Apple's supply chain are likely to see high growth in performance in the first quarter of next year. PCB-related manufacturers in the NVIDIA GB200 server supply chain have received large orders and are ramping up production, with performance expected to see high growth in the fourth quarter and the first quarter of next year. AI edge applications are accelerating, likely bringing innovation and new opportunities to hardware products such as smart glasses, TWS headphones, wearables, and mobile/PC devices
