Recently, relevant departments in Kunming City issued a notice soliciting suggestions for fare discounts in response to the decrease in taxi passenger sources. The deadline for collecting opinions has not yet arrived, but some taxi drivers in Kunming have already begun to voluntarily lower their prices, reducing the starting fare from 10 yuan to 6 yuan. Staff from the Kunming Transportation and Port Development Center stated that there is currently no unified fare reduction, and they are in the process of soliciting opinions on fare discount activities. They are aware that some drivers are voluntarily lowering prices, which is considered personal behavior and not a violation. Regarding discount activities, any updates will be announced in a timely manner
