U.S. Treasury yields generally fell slightly as investors awaited the Federal Reserve's policy meeting.
On Monday (December 16), at the New York close, the yield on the 10-year benchmark U.S. Treasury bond fell by 0.39 basis points to 4.3928%. At 21:36 Beijing time (pre-market for U.S. stocks), it refreshed the daily low to 4.3592%, then fluctuated upward and turned positive, reaching a daily high of 4.4106% at 00:29.
The yield on the 2-year U.S. Treasury bond fell by 0.22 basis points to 4.2427%, refreshing the daily low to 4.2174% at 19:51, then fluctuated upward, refreshing the daily high to 4.2511% at 00:27.
The spread between the 3-month Treasury bill and the 10-year U.S. Treasury yield rose by 0.373 basis points to +6.997 basis points.
