The Chinese shopping app Temu has once again topped the download charts in the US app store.
Yesterday, according to the annual app and game rankings released by Apple, Temu has become the most popular free app in the US again. Since first reaching the top last year, Temu has replaced TikTok, which ranked first in 2022.
This year, Meta's Threads rose from third place last year to second, TikTok ranked third, and ChatGPT, which did not make the top ten last year, jumped to fourth this year, while Google's search app ranked fifth.
Other Meta apps are still present in the 2024 download rankings, but their positions have declined in recent years—Instagram and WhatsApp ranked sixth and seventh, respectively. Following them are CapCut, YouTube, Gmail, Google Maps, Shein, and Facebook.
The top twenty apps also include Telegram, Snapchat, Cash App, Spotify, Max, McDonald's, and Amazon.
In addition, Apple also released the lists of the highest downloaded free games, paid games, paid apps, and popular Apple Arcade games for 2024.
