滙豐歐洲大陸當地時間 12 月 20 日宣佈，滙豐歐洲大陸已就可能向法國保險公司 Matmut 出售其法國人壽保險子公司 HSBC Assurances Vie 簽訂諒解備忘錄。根據潛在交易的財務條款，Matmut 將以 9.25 億歐元的現金代價收購 HSBC Assurances Vie 。據估計，這將為滙豐歐洲大陸帶來約 1 億歐元的税前虧損。
