Net profit exceeded 20 billion! The "brokerage king" achieved the second highest performance in history last year

On January 17th, CITIC Securities disclosed its 2024 performance preliminary report.

The announcement revealed that in 2024, this "brokerage leader" achieved an operating income of 63.789 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 6.19%; the net profit attributable to shareholders of the parent company was 21.704 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 10.06%; and the basic earnings per share were 1.41 yuan/share.

It can be seen that CITIC Securities made a net profit of over 20 billion yuan in the past year.

This figure is the highest net profit level for CITIC Securities since 2022 and the second highest annual net profit figure in history.

Second Highest in History!

According to Zhitang, the historical financial reports show that the annual net profit in this performance preliminary report has created the "second best" performance since CITIC Securities' IPO.

(As shown in the figure above) The latest net profit attributable to the parent company of 21.7 billion yuan is second only to the 23.1 billion yuan net profit attributable to the parent company in 2021, making it the second best performance in history.

Counting the historical performance, CITIC Securities has had three fiscal years with net profits attributable to the parent company exceeding 20 billion yuan, namely 2021 (the highest in history, recording 23.1 billion yuan), and 2022 (recording 21.32 billion yuan).
