India makes final anti-dumping ruling on aluminum foil from China
On March 20, the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry announced a final affirmative anti-dumping ruling on aluminum foil originating from or imported from China, with a thickness not exceeding 80 microns. It recommended imposing a five-year anti-dumping duty on the involved Chinese products, with amounts ranging from USD 479 to USD 721 per ton. The products in question include 5-micron aluminum foil used for capacitors, with a width of less than 500 millimeters and a purity of 99.35%, as well as aluminum foil with a thickness between 5.5 microns and 80 microns. This case involves products under Indian customs codes 76071110, 76071190, 76071910, 76071991, 76071992, 76071993, 76071994, 76071995, 76071999, 76072010, and 76072090. The following products are not subject to taxation in this case: 1. Aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 5.5 microns for non-capacitor use. 2. Aluminum foil with a thickness of less than 5 microns and between 5 microns to 5.5 microns for capacitor use. 3. Ultra-lightweight conversion aluminum foil, with a thickness of 5.5 microns to 7 microns, used for insulation, spice packaging, thermal fluid pipeline covering, and tea packaging. 4. Etched or formed aluminum foil for electrolytic capacitors. 5. Aluminum composite panels for facade cladding and signage applications. 6. Coated aluminum foil. 7. Aluminum foil for beer bottles, with a thickness of 10.5 microns, rough surface, and perforations, regardless of whether printed. 8. Aluminum manganese silicon alloy and/or coated aluminum manganese silicon alloy. 9. Aluminum foil tape. 10. Colored coated aluminum foil. 11. Polyurethane coated aluminum foil
