At the on-site meeting of the Action for Prosperity in Border Areas held by the National Ethnic Affairs Commission in Tengchong, Yunnan, it was learned that since the 14th Five-Year Plan, the central government has allocated a total of 25.2 billion yuan in financial support for rural revitalization in border provinces and regions, promoting the accelerated development of industries such as characteristic agriculture and animal husbandry, ethnic handicrafts, and tourism. The main responsible person of the National Ethnic Affairs Commission stated at the meeting that border areas are continuously building a modern industrial system that is diverse, complementary, and coordinated by cultivating characteristic industries, activating emerging industries, and upgrading traditional industries, which drives employment and income growth for people in border areas, with the rapid development of border tourism, cross-border tourism, and ice and snow tourism. In the next step, the National Ethnic Affairs Commission will focus on promoting industrial prosperity in border areas, deeply advancing the "Private Enterprises Entering Border Areas" initiative and the brand cultivation and enhancement action for ethnic handicrafts, organizing the "Special Products from Border Areas Sold Nationwide" campaign, and assisting characteristic advantageous industries in embedding into the construction of a unified national market, effectively promoting high-quality development in border areas
