Mexico announces lawsuit against Google over the renaming of "Gulf of Mexico"
On May 9th local time, Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador announced that the country has officially sued Google for renaming "Gulf of Mexico" to "American Gulf" in its Google Maps service for U.S. users. López Obrador stated that the lawsuit documents have been submitted, but did not disclose the specific court institution and timeline of submission
