On the 6th, South Korean President Lee Jae-myung reorganized his presidential staff team, appointing former First Secretary of the Ministry of Strategy and Finance Kim Yong-bum as the head of the Presidential Policy Office. The Chief Economic Secretary of the Presidential Office has been renamed to "Chief Secretary for Economic Growth," and new positions have been established, including Chief Secretary-level assistants for Finance and Planning, Artificial Intelligence, and Marine Affairs. The female family secretary position, which was abolished by the previous government, will be restored and renamed to Gender Equality and Family Secretary. The Presidential Office has also established a temporary agency responsible for relocating the presidential office from Yongsan back to Cheong Wa Dae. During his campaign, Lee Jae-myung stated that he was only temporarily working at the Yongsan Presidential Office and would move back to Cheong Wa Dae after renovations were completed.
