Rivian announces 2026 R1T and R1S pricing in the U.S.
Rivian has announced the pricing for its 2026 R1T pickup and R1S SUV in the U.S., with most trims seeing a modest increase of about $1,090 compared to 2025. The R1T starts at $70,990 and the R1S at $76,990. Notably, all models will feature Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) port, enhancing compatibility with Tesla Superchargers. Pricing details for the Canadian market will be revealed closer to the launch date, expected in late summer or early fall.
Rivian has officially revealed pricing for its 2026 R1T pickup and R1S SUV for the United States, with most trims seeing modest increases and new standard features expected to roll out later this year.
Rivian also confirmed the long-awaited addition of Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS) port across the lineup, making Rivian one of the few automakers to integrate the standard natively starting in 2026.
Slight Price Bumps Across the Lineup
According to pricing details shared with Drive Tesla, Rivian says the 2026 R1T will start at US$70,990 for the Dual-Motor Standard model, while the R1S begins at US$76,990. At the top end, the Tri-Motor variants of the R1T and R1S are priced at US$100,990 and US$106,990, respectively.
These prices reflect a US$1,090 increase for most trims compared to the 2025 model year. However, the Dual Large variants of both vehicles only increased by US$90. The destination and freight charge has also risen slightly from US$1,800 to US$1,895 for 2026 models.

Rivian continues to offer a US$5,000 Performance Upgrade for the Dual-Motor variants, which can be added at purchase or post-delivery. This upgrade boosts power and acceleration without requiring hardware changes.
Quad-Motor Details Coming Soon
While Rivian has yet to release pricing or specifications for the 2026 Quad-Motor R1T and R1S, a now-deleted teaser from tech YouTuber MKBHD revealed several key design elements. The Quad-Motor R1T shown featured 22-inch Ultra High Performance wheels, Launch Green paint, and teal-colored “Quad” badging—a hint that Rivian may offer exclusive styling for its most powerful variant.
The new Quad-Motor setup is expected to deliver up to 1,025 horsepower and a 0–60 mph time of just 2.5 seconds.
All Models to Feature NACS Port
Rivian is joining the ranks of Ford, GM, and Lucid by adopting Tesla’s NACS port on all 2026 vehicles. This move enables seamless compatibility with Tesla Superchargers, removing the need for adapters and expanding Rivian owners’ access to the most reliable fast-charging network in North America.
Pricing for Canada
While Rivian has released pricing for the U.S. market, Canadians will have to wait a little longer. A Rivian spokesperson told us “more information about pricing in Canada will be announced closer to launch,” which is expected to be in the late summer or early fall.
