The United States ends a seven-year investigation into 2 million Nissan vehicles
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced on Wednesday the conclusion of a seven-year investigation into 2.03 million Nissan vehicles, which involved the failure to seek a recall due to issues with the rear suspension control arm.
Authorities stated that the investigation began in 2018, covering Nissan Altima vehicles from 2013 to 2018 and Nissan Maxima vehicles from 2016 to 2018, and was upgraded to an engineering analysis in 2019. They noted that with the decline in the number of reports and Nissan's implementation of countermeasures and extended warranty periods, there currently appears to be no need for further investigation into the issue
