Sun Life Financial expects to join the MPF Easy platform in September or October and collaborates with Hong Kong Baptist University to promote intermediary training courses

All Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) trustees and schemes have been gradually and orderly joining the MPF Easy platform since June last year. Pan Jihong, Manager of Wealth and Retirement Business at Sun Life Financial, stated that as the third-largest MPF service provider in Hong Kong, they are actively responding to and preparing for the transition to the platform, which is expected to join the MPF Easy platform in September or October. Currently, the relevant preparatory work is entering the final sprint stage.

Sun Life announced a partnership with Hong Kong Baptist University to launch a unique training course for intermediaries in Hong Kong, supporting employers and employees in smoothly transitioning to the MPF Easy platform. Pan Jihong mentioned that various stages of online seminars for MPF Easy have been arranged to address different needs during the preparation period, launch period, and after the platform officially goes live; they will provide the latest transition information and precautions through electronic communications and establish a dedicated MPF Easy page to provide and regularly update information.

In addition, after the official launch of MPF Easy, Pan Jihong indicated that they will continue to offer existing online services, including account inquiries and quarterly MPF balance SMS services, while the customer service center will continue to support administrative inquiries not related to MPF Easy
