U.S. CFTC: Gold net long positions hit a nine-week high
U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC): For the week ending June 17, speculators increased their net long positions in COMEX gold by 2,878 contracts to 136,626 contracts, reaching a nine-week high, with the absolute value of short positions hitting a five-month low.
Net long positions in COMEX silver rose to 50,034 contracts, marking a more than five-year high, with the absolute value of long positions reaching a more than three-year high.
Net long positions in COMEX copper decreased to 23,625 contracts, with the absolute value of long positions hitting approximately a 17-month low and the absolute value of short positions reaching about a four-year low.
Net long positions in NYMEX platinum decreased to 16,794 contracts.
Net short positions in NYMEX palladium decreased to 5,193 contracts, marking a seven-month low
