The S&P 500 Index preliminarily closed up 0.9%, with consumer discretionary, real estate, consumer staples, industrials, materials, utilities, financials, and technology sectors rising over 1%, while the energy sector fell 2.5%.
The Nasdaq 100 Index preliminarily closed up 1.1%, with component stock Tesla rising 8.3%, nuclear power concept stock CEG rising 3.3%, Arm Holdings rising 3.1%, and Google A, Biogen, Gilead Sciences, Baker Hughes, Marvell Technology, Diamondback Energy, Grail, and Amgen falling 1%-5.8%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index rose 0.5%, and the bank index rose 1.6%; the index of the seven tech giants in the U.S. rose 0.9%, while the "Trump Tariff Losers Index" rose 0.6%
