Germany demands Apple and Google to block DeepSeek
A data protection regulatory agency in Germany stated on Friday that the Chinese artificial intelligence application DeepSeek illegally sent German user data to China and requested that Alphabet (GOOG.US) subsidiary Google and Apple (AAPL.US) consider blocking its services.
The agency pointed out that it is illegal for DeepSeek to transfer German user data to China and has informed Apple and Google of the suspected violations by DeepSeek, hoping that both companies can promptly review whether to ban the application in their respective app stores
