Anthropic announced: Throttling of Claude code

Anthropic announced through social media platforms that starting from August 28, Claude Pro and Max will set a weekly usage limit. Due to high costs, a very small number of users have been using it continuously for 24 hours, resulting in costs of tens of thousands of dollars for a $200 package, which the company cannot sustain. Additionally, a few individuals are sharing and reselling accounts, occupying resources and affecting everyone. The official estimate is that less than 5% of users will be affected; if they are Max users and exceed the limit, they can pay extra according to the API standard pricing
