
London Stock Market fell on the 1st
The Financial Times 100 Index on the London Stock Exchange closed at 9068.58 points on the 1st, down 64.23 points from the previous trading day, a decrease of 0.70%. All three major European stock indices fell that day. In terms of individual stocks, consumer stocks led the gains in the London stock market, with the top five gainers being: Pearson Group up 6.06%, investment firm Melrose Industries up 5.00%, Unilever up 2.79%, British American Tobacco up 2.25%, and precious metals producer Fresnillo up 2.07%
