Ho Chi Minh City calls for supportive measures to promote the popularity of electric vehicles

According to Vietnam News, the Ho Chi Minh City Development Research Institute has called on electric vehicle manufacturers and investors to propose support plans to encourage the popularization of electric vehicles in this commercial hub of Vietnam. Companies invited to make suggestions include VinGroup, VinFast Automobile Co., Ltd., Grab Holdings, Honda, and Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade. The recommendations from the Ho Chi Minh City Development Research Institute include special discounts for electric vehicles, old car trade-in programs, low-interest installment payments, and investment in the construction of charging or battery swapping stations and other infrastructure
