IMOTIONTECH expects to incur a pre-tax loss in the interim

IMOTIONTECH expects to incur a pre-tax loss of approximately RMB 178 million for the interim period ending June 30, 2025, an increase of about 80.39% compared to the RMB 98.6 million loss in the same period of 2024. The main reasons include the impact of demand from original equipment manufacturers on uneven revenue distribution, as well as the company's increased investment in research and development of self-developed new products and autonomous driving technology
According to the Zhitong Finance APP, IMOTIONTECH (01274) announced that the group expects to incur a pre-tax loss of approximately RMB 178 million for the six months ending June 30, 2025, compared to a pre-tax loss of approximately RMB 98.6 million for the six months ending June 30, 2024, representing an increase of approximately 80.39%. The board believes that this is mainly due to the combined impact of the following factors: (1) Affected by the demand from OEMs, the company's revenue is unevenly distributed between the first and second halves of the year, with a larger portion of shipping demand concentrated in the second half, resulting in a decrease in revenue for the first half compared to the same period last year; (2) The company's increased investment in the research and development of self-developed new products and autonomous driving technology has led to an increase in R&D expenses
