The pilot work for the quality and safety coding verification of key products sold online has officially started

On August 22, the "Online Product Quality Safety Coding Verification 'Code Action' Initiative Activity" was held in Beijing. The event marked the official launch of the pilot work for the quality safety coding verification of key online products. Deng Zhiyong, a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, and Director of the National Standardization Administration, attended the event and delivered a speech. Chief Engineer Liu Min presided over the meeting. During the event, representatives from the market regulation bureaus of Beijing, Zhejiang Province, and two platform companies made exchange speeches. Officials from the market regulation bureaus of Shanghai, Jiangsu Province, Guangdong Province, Sichuan Province, Hunan Province, relevant departments of the General Administration, and affiliated units attended the meeting. Ten platforms, including Taotian, KUAISHOU-W, PDD, Douyin, JD.com, Suning.com, Xiaohongshu, Dewu, Vipshop, and Tencent, jointly issued an initiative to consciously fulfill their responsibilities for coding verification, effectively ensuring the review of products entering the platform, and jointly creating a safe and reassuring online consumption environment
