10 types of products will implement "one code traceability," covering 10 e-commerce platforms including PDD and JD.com
The State Administration for Market Regulation has officially launched a pilot program for the verification of quality and safety codes for key products sold online. Ten categories of products closely related to public safety, including safety helmets, electric bicycles, and gas stoves, will implement a "one code traceability" mechanism in the pilot program. The pilot work covers ten large and medium-sized e-commerce platforms, including Taotian, Kuaishou, PDD, Douyin, JD.com, Suning.com, Xiaohongshu, Dewu, Vipshop, and Tencent. Platform companies must strictly review the coding information of the products they host, promote code verification, and dynamically display codes; manufacturing companies must code from the source to ensure the information is true and complete; local market regulation departments will also strengthen supervision and random inspections, and handle illegal activities according to the law. Currently, major e-commerce platforms are gradually advancing technical integration and merchant mobilization, and some coded products will be launched successively. (CCTV News)
