MAOYAN ENT announced its mid-year results for 2025, with revenue of approximately RMB 2.472 billion, a year-on-year increase of 13.9%; gross profit of approximately RMB 936.5 million, a year-on-year decrease of 19%; profit for the period of RMB 178.5 million, a year-on-year decrease of 37.3%; and adjusted net profit of approximately RMB 235 million, a year-on-year decrease of 33.2%. The increase in revenue was mainly due to the growth in revenue from entertainment content services. In the first half of 2025, the company achieved a record high in the number of films it controlled for promotion/distribution, with some films performing exceptionally well at the box office

The announcement stated that the increase in revenue was mainly due to the rise in revenue from entertainment content services in the first half of 2025. Revenue from entertainment content services increased from RMB 1.024 billion in the first half of 2024 to RMB 1.209 billion in the first half of 2025. This was primarily due to the company achieving a historical high in the number of films it controlled for promotion/distribution in the first half of 2025, and some of the films it participated in performing exceptionally well at the box office
