Investment in rural power grids exceeds 800 billion yuan, further strengthening energy infrastructure
Today, the State Council Information Office held a series of themed press conferences on "High-Quality Completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan." A relevant official from the National Energy Administration stated: "Since the 14th Five-Year Plan, our country has continuously strengthened infrastructure construction in the energy sector to meet the energy needs of people's livelihoods." Wang Hongzhi, Director of the National Energy Administration, introduced that over the past five years, our country has continuously deepened the implementation of rural power grid consolidation and enhancement projects, with a total of 25 billion yuan allocated from the central budget, driving investments in rural power grids to exceed 800 billion yuan. We are actively promoting the development and utilization of distributed renewable energy for the benefit of the people. As of the first half of this year, the installed capacity of household photovoltaics is approximately 180 million kilowatts, which can increase farmers' income by about 14 billion yuan each year. We are increasing efforts to extend large power grids to remote areas and continuously improving off-grid power supply for islands, striving to address the "last mile" of energy use for people's livelihoods
